Prospect Cedar represents a small number of practitioners whose work we know personally. When a recipient business comes through whose situation fits one of those practitioners, we compose the introduction and send it under our name.
We do not run a roster. We do not maintain a sales motion. We do not represent practitioners whose work we have not watched up close. Most of the people we work with came to us through prior collaboration or a long stretch of close observation.
What we ask
The standard, written out.
- Their work has to be excellent. Not adequate, not promising, not on its way. Excellent now.
- We have to have seen the work close enough to vouch for it without hedging.
- They have to be the kind of person we would introduce to someone we care about.
- They have to understand that an introduction is a beginning, not a closing tactic.
- They have to be content with fewer introductions, made better.
What this is not.
- A retainer arrangement.
- A guaranteed-volume program.
- A directory listing.
- A lead-generation service.
